The Clery Act of 1990 requires higher education institutions to publish annual crimes logs and reports. Below is compiled crime report data relating to sexual assaults committed between 2013 and 2015.
NOTE: This data is merely a reflection of the number of reported sexual assault-related crimes, and as such does not take into account those that go unreported. The table is meant to provide the broadest publicly available overview of the state of sexual assault on the given campuses. The data is organized by criminal offense as it appears in the Clery Reports. |

The Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS) distributes collective surveys for private colleges and universities. One of those surveys is designed to give colleges a better understanding of the problem of sexual assault on their campuses. Since the majority of sexual assaults go unreported, the Sexual Assault Campus Climate survey attempts to gather that data by measuring student perceptions of their campus’s climate for sexual assault.
About 750 Augustana students took this survey in 2015. Below are some selected data sets showing the frequency of sexual assault among Augie students, as well as its frequency among students at the other 57 participating colleges.
